Clinical observation on renal function after removing the ureteral stone to induce non-visualizing kidney on IVP and renal scanning

Abstract

|
So many experimental studies about renal problems which were developed by ureteral obstruction, especially in renal functional End morphological recovery After removing it, have been reported.
In clinical practice, when non-visualizing kidney en IVP by ureteral stone as most common cause of ureteral obstruction is revealed, we worry about renal parenchymal damage, and loss of renal functional recovery etc.
Therefore, some authors recommend to check radioisotopic kidney studies in order to confirm the limitaticn of irreversible kidney. And so, we have studied for the renal functional recovery and its morphological improvement after ureterolithotomy in five cases which did not reveal in uptake of radioisotopic renal scintiscanning among the non-visualizing kidneys on IVP causing by ureteral stones.
In result of follow up studies, all of five cases have revealed renal functional recovery and gradually improved morphological structure.
